The information you have been looking for.
Open to everyone, whether you ever buy anything from us or not. This is the part of Saede that exists for the mission rather than the margin.
Our founder spent more than four years piecing this together herself, late at night, from research papers, because nobody would explain it to her. Putting it behind a paywall would make us exactly the thing we are annoyed about.
So the education is free. That includes the parts where the right answer is not a supplement — including minoxidil, which is a medicine, and which we write about because you deserve to understand your options rather than only the one we sell.
If what you actually need is a doctor, we would rather you found that out here.
Why your blood tests came back 'fine
Normal is a range, not a verdict. What standard blood panels do and do not look at, and why 'nothing was wrong' so often means 'nothing we measured'.
What to ask your doctor to test
A short, specific list to take to your appointment — the tests worth requesting by name, and how to ask for your actual numbers.
Minoxidil, honestly
What it is, what it does, what the trade-offs are, and why we are writing about a medicine we do not sell and do not claim to replace.
Stress, cortisol and the hair growth cycle
Why hair often falls out months after the hard thing happened, and what the research says about the stress hormone's effect on the follicle.
PCOS, and why so many women are told there is nothing to be done
What polycystic ovary syndrome actually is, why it connects hair, skin, cycles and energy, and how to push for a proper assessment.
The full briefing
The long version of what goes around the supplement — protein, blood sugar, vitamin D, sleep — with the reasoning left in rather than summarised out.
Get your bloods done.
If you take one thing from this hub, take that one. Ask for ferritin, thyroid function and vitamin D specifically.
Saede is a food supplement. It is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle, and it is not a substitute for medical care. If you are losing your hair, please also see a doctor and get your blood tested. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, speak to a healthcare professional before starting.
